So far the festival has hosted more than 800 musicians form all around the world making Bale, a small Istrian town an important place on European jazz map and it is all an effort of the enthusiastic people of the tavern who managed to keep the festival running for ten years in a row with little or no help from others. Additional concerts (as a part of the festival) are held in Dalmatia, in Vela Luka on the island of Korčula and on the island of Lastovo which shows that the festival has been recognized as a worthy musical event beyond the area of Istrian peninsula.
Music is just a part of the festival, as other cultural events such as theatre shows and literary gatherings also take place during the event. This year the 11th festival will be held and visitors will once again be treated with the magic atmosphere, excellent music and overall unforgettable experience and the very friendly hosts will make sure that you feel welcome. And the town of Bale is a very lovely place so if you are not staying there but attending the festival only, take some time to visit Bembo castle, built in the 16th century between the two towers and it is the biggest building in town.
